In a few days, my wife, Alice, and I will be taking off for a few days in fabulous Las Vegas. On Sunday, December 2nd, for the second consecutive year, we will be running the Las Vegas Half Marathon.
I am really looking forward to the race and the trip.
Last year the weather was not as favorable (very cold) but conditions this year look almost perfect for a PR (personal record).
Competitor has made some changes to the course, corrals and start time that should make the race even more pleasurable.
The course is fairly flat, starts from the Mandalay Bay, proceeds South for about a mile and then heads North down Las Vegas Blvd. (The Strip) until you reach downtown. Then, you swing back South and end up at The Mirage.
We will be staying at Harrah’s. So, at the end of the race, we will have a short walk to our hotel room and out of the cold.
Here is a photo from last year’s finish:
Then, off to dinner and some fun with other runner friends.
I will post the photos…..
